We give all glory to God Almighty for a life well spent of Rev Elkanah Olusola Osibanjo who’s the father of Pastor Mrs Yemisi Ashimolowo. The burial ceremony started on Wednesday the 20th and ended on Thursday the 21st of February 2019. It was a befitting burial and We were privileged to be present to cover the event.
The body arrived the village(Ara at Ijebu-Ode) on the morning of Wednesday the 20th of February 2019 where it was carried round the village by the Undertakers and dancers from Ebony Funeral home accompanied by Children, other relatives and well wishers. We captured the event in both video and picture format. It was fun but the sun wey beat us that day no get part 2(lol).
A tribute service was organized where people came to talk about Baba and the impact he made on the village and his generation. The Wake keep also took place that evening at his residence with service of songs and thanksgiving. Dignitaries were in attendance among who was Bishop & Pastor Mrs Adelakun.
The burial service held on Thursday the 21st of February 2019 at St Peters Anglican church Ala Ijebu-ode where dignitaries were also in attendance including Baba Abiara. We got there to set up by 7am and the service started by exactly 9am. It was a glorious service after which everyone rejoiced as Baba Osibanjo was taken for interment at the Ala Cemetery.
We all left for the reception at Archbishop Vining memorial sports ground GRA Ikeja, Lagos State Nigeria. Alibaba was the event MC with Ayefele and his team present to dish out good music with various dance steps. Different delicacies of food was served that day.I even ordered for something I didn’t even know but it was really delicious sha (we gaz chop too).
It was a joyful mood all through and we give all glory to God for a life well spent and for giving his daughter; Pastor Mrs Yemisi Ashimolowo and her siblings the opportunity to give their father a befitting burial.
